Chain State View (CSV)

print-view-button
What does Chain State View (CSV) mean?

All network actors who are following the Chain State for a Geeq blockchain must attest to their own view of the current Chain State.

The Chain State View (CSV) for nodeN is defined as follows:

An active network participant must attest to the merkle roots it submits for its validation layer block (VLB), its validation layer ledger (VLL), its application layer block (ALB), and its application layer ledger (ALL) in its network actor content statement.

The Geeq Difference for Efficiency, Canonicalness, and Provability

There is exactly one correct chain state view. All others must not have followed protocol.

All network actors who are following the chain state have their own view of the current chain state. Listening and ready nodes maintain their CSV, while every participant in the active network must submit its statement of the chain state view and sign it with their private key.

Used in a Sentence

The purpose of the content statement is to put all network actors on record with an irrevocable statement of what they view as the current chain state view.
