The Hydrogen Testnet is live! |
Woo hoo! I want to go now!
If you’re on Twitter, then login, First come first served!
Geeq’s Hydrogen testnet marks a critical milestone in our journey to delivering a decentralized future with unmatched security, efficiency, scalability, and ease of use. While this Genesis launch is just the beginning, it’s a major step forward for us to show our solutions to the world.
I’ll read later, TAKE ME THERE!
🎉🎉 Don’t Forget: Launch Party TWITTER SPACES this Friday, 8 pm UTC / 3 pm ET
We are celebrating, see you there!!
Hydrogen Testnet : What you need to know
As with any pioneering venture, we’re starting small before we scale users per chain. That’s why we’re introducing some restrictions to support the network
- Participant Limits: All VIP pass holders have spots reserved + there’s a 250 account cap for Twitter/X. Scroll down to read about ticketing!
- Max Layers per Stack: Each stack will have a maximum of 5 layers.
These are restrictions we’re able to implement through the app without touching the chain. They can be relaxed in the future.
I’m ready, TAKE ME THERE!
We’ve tested the protocol many times for correctness and, in case, you’ll be able to verify your mints and transactions through the block explorer yourself. While validation should not be an issue, we need to test for stability and performance, so go wild, try to break it. Please report any bugs to the service desk. Hydrogen will allow us to monitor the blockchain and app ecosystem closely, and fine-tune for future phases. Thank you in advance – we want those reports!
It’s a Testnet, with Consumer Apps
You’ll be testing Hydrogen through the the testnet Stacks App which now has an in-app wallet and faucet for testcoins. Collect coins every 12 hours, mint Stacks, and “sell and buy” them on-chain.
Send a stack to a friend, please share everything Geeq, and be sure to browse the gallery to upvote and support. It’s such an easy way to make someone’s day.
Let’s go! TAKE ME THERE!
Faucet Rules and Fees
For details on how to use the testnet faucet and manage service fees, please refer to the table below.
Action Type | Fee amount |
Add a layer | 0.0010 |
Transfer Stack | 0.0005 |
Platform and app developers, service fees are how you build your businesses on Geeq – by charging for your app. You know how to do this. Imagine what services you could offer based on verified Stacks.
Faucet
Max. amount: 100
Tier | Amount to dispense every 24 hours | Amount to dispense every 12 hours |
Gold tier | 0.0060 | 0.0030 |
Silver tier | 0.0040 | 0.0020 |
Bronze tier Twitter accounts (250) | 0.0020 | 0.0010 |
Hydrogen requires a Laptop or Desktop
This Stacks App is not on mobile.
For mobile: The SafeQeep wallet will show different features on its #L0 testnet. They are next in line!
Tiered Ticketing: There are two kinds of tickets.
- VIP Access: All VIP pass holders have reserved seats. The Geeq-VIP-Pass is on Blast and available on Open Sea. There are Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers: if you have multiple passes, the benefits will stack. Check into Discord first to verify your passes.
- General Admission: 250 Twitter users will be granted bronze tier access to join the testnet. First come, first served. If you buy passes afterwards, please come back in through the VIP gate.
To recap: Get your Geeq-VIP-Pass, then log into Discord, then Hydrogen Testnet at stackit.geeq.io!
Or Login via Twitter to Hydrogen Testnet at stackit.geeq.io!
Got it, Let’s go!
How Long Will Hydrogen Run?
It is planned to run for one month, but this is a flexible timeline. We’ll assess performance as we go. Someday, we hope you’ll be using all kinds of Stacks Apps at work as well as in your free time.
What Challenges Should We Anticipate?
This is a Genesis launch. Like any testnet in blockchain, there’s room for surprises. The biggest risk we foresee is an unexpected crash. Please report any bugs you spot at the bottom of the page. We will keep you updated every step of the way.
I’m in, Go go! Hydrogen Testnet with the Stacks App, Let’s go!
Geeq Matters because You Matter.
This isn’t just a testnet—it’s the first chapter in building the infrastructure we need to live in a world without trust. Third parties, who have controlled our relationships with our own data for decades, are on their way to failing us completely. They cannot be trusted to secure our data; in fact, they have become single points of failure. They aren’t prepared to deal with the threats we face from everything, everywhere, all the time. The threat environment is only going to get worse. If they can’t protect us, we must find a different path.
We have. At the highest level, it’s partly because Geeq is designed to work in the opposite way. Instead of batching transactions and catching up with fraud later, reciprocal verification gets it right the first time – and every time after that. Instead of concentrating data and permissions together behind firewalls, Geeq’s systems get granular. Geeq’s architecture adheres to the principles of zero-trust security and as soon as you understand how Geeq works, you can take actionable steps to implement them. There’s a lot to unpack.
Hydrogen shows you only the tip of the iceberg. You can see for yourself that the data you know you sent to the chain is tokenized as an asset in your account. You and anyone else you interact with can do so, because the data is publicly viewable (this time) and the proof is there for anyone to see. Imagine having all that certainty at your fingertips. Keep pushing through the implications to discover more.
Let’s build the future, together. Go! Hydrogen Testnet with The Stacks App.
